April is National Humour Month and if you ask me it couldn't have come sooner. Wondering how to pack more laughs and wonderment into this very special 4 weeks? As usual, Paul Anthony's Talent Time has got you covered!

Tonight, Wednesday, April 2nd features the hilarious Darcy Michael from the new CTV series Spun Out starring Dave Foley. Darcy has a unique spin on life as a gay, married, stoner dad that will make ya wanna laugh-hug him all night long. Keeping the hilarious theme going, the show also features stand-up comedian Katie-Ellen Humphries and the first participant in the annual "Craigslist Comedy Challenge", wanna-be comedian Richard McDonald. Richard was chosen to perform ONE original joke in front of the supportive Talent Time crowd. Will he you make you laugh or will he crash and burn? I guess you gotta be there.  This instalment of Talent Time also features the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society and veteran sax player Roland Calendar. Roland used to play with Fats Domino & Little Richard. Apart from being a kick-ass musician, I've heard he will be sharing some great touring stories from the 1950's.

Talent Time is always the highlight of the month for me. Besides being hilarious, it's consistently surprising and uplifting. Plus it starts on time and doesn't go too late so it's great for all my friends who work during the week. The event also boasts an onsite mini donut truck, cover charge piñata (where you can win your admission back by smashing a homemade creation full of loonies!) and co-host Ryan Beil from the Canadian Comedy Award-winning improv troop, The Sunday Service. Cover is $10, doors open at 8pm, and talent takes the stage at 9pm.
