Over the weeks we've been bringing you news of the Gesamtkunstwerk exhibition (see the archive HERE), and are excited to introduce you to the Westbank Salon Series which is a curated series of intimate dialogues about the state of the city, held in their space.

These interactive salons are formatted in a Q+A dialogue on the state of city-building in Vancouver, and the applicability of “Total Design” to improve our urban environment.

Each of the Westbank Salons begins at 6:00pm with a structured dialogue featuring the evening’s guest, hosted by Trevor Boddy, salon and exhibition curator. Later in the hour they open the session for comments and questions from the audience.

The first salon was with Leslie Van Duzer, Director of the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. The second Salon is this coming Tuesday April 15th at 6:00pm with Larry Beasley, the ‘Distinguished Practice’ Professor of Planning at UBC who previously worked as the Co-Director of Planning for the City of Vancouver during the formative years of its inner-city transformation. These are free events with RSVP, the full details on all 5 of them can be found HERE and the Beasley one's details HERE.

Keep on tweeting your Salon Series questions to @gwerkca using the hashtag #gwerksalon — your questions will be answered during the interactive Q&A!
