Last call for Vancouver's favourite variety show

The most acclaimed comedy/variety show in the city is calling it quits. At least for the summer. If you haven't experienced Paul Anthony's Talent Time, I urge you to do so this Wednesday, May 7th.

The most acclaimed comedy/variety show in the city is calling it quits.  At least for the summer.  If you haven't experienced Paul Anthony's Talent Time, I urge you to do so this Wednesday, May 7th.   The last show of their 6th season boasts the hilarious Charlie Demers and Aaron Charles Read.  Charlie is considered one of Canada’s best stand up comedians and has performed at Just for Laughs, is a regular on CBC's the Debaters, and has had his own comedy special on the Comedy Network.  Aaron is an integral member of the Sunday Service, who were named the funniest improv troop in the country at the Canadian Comedy Awards.

Not only a place for belly laughs, Talent Time also presents some extraordinary variety, including the award-winning choral group formed in 1969, The Vancouver Thunderbird Chorus. The 2013 winner of B.C.'s Youth Talent Search Competition, 17 year old hip hop dancer Jennifer Le will be poppin' and locking' and 11 year old Alexandra Salvador will be sharing her sweet voice.

Talent Time is the only event on my calendar that I refuse to miss.  It's a show that is constantly surprising me and outdoing itself, even 6 seasons in.  Plus, it starts on time and doesn't go too late, so it's great for all my friends who work in the morning.  Adding to the celebratory vibe, there will be an onsite mini donut truck, a free Photo Booth from Pixstar rentals, a killer house band and, as always, the Cover Charge Piñata (where you can win your admission back by smashing a homemade creation full of loonies!) Plus, Ryan Beil, also from The Sunday Service, is co-hosting!  Cover is $10, doors open at 8pm, and talent takes the stage at 9pm.

About Talent Time

Filmed the first Wednesday of every month, onstage at the Biltmore Cabaret, and broadcast on Shaw TV & the Novus Network, Talent Time is a unique blend of local acts that no one would expect to see on the same stage.  Helmed by the always outrageous, Paul Anthony, Talent Time has been entertaining diehard fans and newcomers alike since 2008.
