Dress for Success Vancouver is a registered Canadian Charity that helps empower women into the workforce.
By providing professional attire, career development tools and a network of support they acknowledge that every woman, regardless of background, deserves the opportunity to grow, develop and succeed in work and in life.
A worldwide organization in 7 countries, Vancouver was the first Canadian affiliate chapter to open its doors in 1999.
4 full time staff and over 100 volunteers keep this non-profit running at full speed. In 2013 over 2100 women went through program with over 14,000 hours donated by volunteers.
$360 is the cost to support 1 woman for 1 year through the full suite of programs that include Dressing Services, Career Centre and the Professional Women’s Group (PWG) all which is a free service provided to the clients.
Dress for Success Vancouver relies heavily on community donations, and has Vancouver to thank for many generous and endless interview appropriate clothing donations since their inception. However Dress for Success is in need of more than just a suit, this video shares the life of a suit and helps explain all the organization provides to their clients and why community donors are so important.
On June 5th, you can come meet 10 reasons why Dress for Success does what they do, as they host IMPACT 360 their annual fundraising event, where 10 clients will walk the runway and share their stories of how Dress for Success impacted their lives.
