It's another wrap on Vancouver Craft Beer Week...and what a week it WAS! Events, tastings, specials, the two HUGE closing festival days, thousands of people and a lot of beer. Here is a tiny bit of what happened:
Opening night was held at Gossip Night Club and if you haven't noticed, based on our other post, the theme this year was hip hop. The night was hosted by Prevail who 'tapped' the keg of the beer named after him (Prevale), Hip Hop Karaoke happened, and there were a lot of people, including myself, that were dressed in their hip-hop best. (I might have won the costume contest for my take on Salt'n'Pepa's Shoop outfits.) Oh and beer...there was a LOT of beer...
This night (well...afternoon really) at the Alibi Room was awesome once again, so many unique brews being sampled (the first hour was dubbed "Sour Hour" as that was where many of us started!). There was amazing food (beef, pork, or vegan chilli!), and entertainment by the one and only Rich Hope, and beer beer beer! No wonder this sells out almost instantly...
Two amazing days in the sunshine and heat of a glorious Vancouver weekend...with beer of course. I've combined the two days photos together as it was crazy, full of happy people, and almost impossible to get to every single brewery as there were so many to choose from.
Hats tipped and all the kudos go to the incredible team at VCBW, I don't know how they do it every year, but the deserve a beer and hearty congratulations. THANKS GUYS!!!
