That's one sweet umbrella

Way back in 1889, Scottish civil engineer George Grant Mackay suspended a footbridge made of hemp rope and cedar planks across Capilano Canyon.

Way back in 1889, Scottish civil engineer George Grant Mackay suspended a footbridge made of hemp rope and cedar planks across Capilano Canyon. A storied history would follow, leading up to last week when The Capilano Suspension Bridge held a party for their 125th anniversary! To continue the celebration they've launched a Facebook contest where they're giving away a $20,000 Wedding package (HERE), and to get our attention they sent over this sweet umbrella which I dare to say is one of the best I've seen. You could be in the middle of downtown and be looking up at the canopy of the canyon, similar to what ol' Mr Mackay saw more than a century ago as he crossed his rickety ol' hemp n' cedar bridge.
