Over the next 10 weeks the Four Seasons Vancouver's Executive Chef, Ned Bell, is cycling across Canada flying the Chefs for Oceans banner. On a mission to raise awareness for healthy and sustainable seafood, Ned's spearheading a movement along with this country's finest chefs and restaurants in communities from St John's (where he began his adventure this morning!) all the way back to Vancouver. Each week we'll be bringing you an update from where Ned has been as he treks his way West.

Now, while we're on the topic of seafood and sustainability... as you may have already heard, this year's sockeye salmon run in BC is predicted to be the largest ever recorded (with a projected 72 million returning up the Fraser River), and it'll just be heating up when Ned returns from his journey.

Our friends at the Pacific Salmon Foundation have donated $5,000 to help pay some of the journey's expenses as it makes its way back West, and we're hoping that you will help raise a matching donation of another $5,000. From now until September 12th you can donate $10 to Chefs for Oceans by texting the word SALMON from your mobile phone to 45678.
