When new neighbours move into the neighbourhood, you might go over and introduce yourself with a plate of cookies or something of the sort. But what if your new neighbours have faced some significant challenges and are transitioning into a new beginning? Hello, Neighbour is an initiative aimed at welcoming the new residents of the Alexander Street Community - a 139-unit social housing project operated by the PHS Community Services Society.
Organized by Railyard, an intern-powered studio under Dossier Creative, the project will be putting together welcome packages for the new residents with items such as tote bags, toques, and ponchos and additional items if they meet the fundraising goals below:
This initiative also helps bridge the gap between residents of the Alexander Street Community and the local business community and will hopefully be the beginning of an ongoing, positive relationship.
