If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap". In other words, this is a weekly series on things to do and places to go in Vancouver that fall into that magical category of being both cheap and awesome. |
What is it about transitional seasons and rummage sales? It seems every fall has a bunch of churches hosting large sales, and every spring schools jump on the same bandwagon. I guess those are the times when we're in preparation - for school or summer - and want to clear out what's not needed for the season to come. Whatever it is, it's great, because rummage sales are a great way to get great things for cheap! Plus, I have to say, church rummage sales are especially great. I don't know what it is, maybe it's a bent towards charity, but there is often some really high quality stuff available. This weekend I know of TWO major rummage sales, both of which happen to be on UBC campus (bonus for geographic proximity!), but I bet you can find a few more! Listings below.
