7 AWESOME STOPS BETWEEN CLINTON AND VANCOUVER, BC!

By Vancouver Is Awesome

It's the final leg! You're almost home, but not before you make some great stops along the Gold Rush Trail. Eat at Fat Jacks, see Hell's Gate, and check out the canyons and valleys along the road.

  • Get Lost At: Clinton Emporium

    By Vancouver Is Awesome

After you pack up your campsite, grab a coffee and wander amongst the shelves of the Clinton Emporium. They have all of your wagon wheel needs!

  • Grab A Coffee At: The Packing House

    By Vancouver Is Awesome

The Packing House is one of the original packing houses for Widow Smith apples (a variety from the 1800s) & is now a heritage café. They have coffee, music nights, & lots of charm!

  • Stop By: Skihist Provincial Park

    By Vancouver Is Awesome

As well as being a camping spot, Skihist Provincial Park has a glorious look out over Thompson Canyon. Great place to have as a base camp if you're looking to do some river rafting!

  • Alexandra Bridge Provincial Park – BC Parks

    By Vancouver Is Awesome

A quick 10 minute hike in the woods will bring you to Alexandra Bridge. A calming way to end your journey before you beat the traffic home. Definitely bring your camera to this stop!

  • Bring Home The Baked Goods: Anie's Pizza & Bakery

    By Vancouver Is Awesome

Grab a baked good or a frozen pizza for later from Anie's, to bring home for dinner when you get back into town! We had some really great sticky buns.

  • Eat At: Fat Jack's Diner @ The Mighty Fraser Motel

    By Vancouver Is Awesome

Pop into Fat Jack's Diner at the Mighty Fraser Hotel, in the heart of the Fraser Canyon. The motel is newly renovated, and BEAUTIFUL!, but if you're just looking for a meal, you can't go wrong here.

  • Traverse Into: Hell's Gate

    By Vancouver Is Awesome

Hell's Gate has a lot of history and a really cool airtram. Descend down towards the raging water, and walk out on the suspension bridge. You can even seen the spawning salmon swimming through!

Thanks to the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association for inviting us on this incredible journey, and to Destination BC, and the Camping & RV BC Coalition for all their support! Happy travels and we’ll see you on our next “Super, Neighbours” adventure.
