This is the Most Awesome Vancouver Teenager in 2014

"Only age 14 [now age 16], Tomas Lang created an easy to replicate solution that can reduce waste at all our schools.

mostawesome2014 "Only age 14 [now age 16], Tomas Lang created an easy to replicate solution that can reduce waste at all our schools. He calls it the Green Events Program: a “library” for event organizers to borrow commonly used materials such as plates and silverware. The program also teaches organizers to set up a simple waste management system at their events. Tomas is now spreading the program to schools across the Lower Mainland. Tomas walks his talk. I’ve been to community events where Tomas, the youngest person in the room, would create an ad hoc recycling system so that the waste generated at the event would get sorted properly. He inspires others (both adult and youth) to act from their values and create solutions that can improve the world around us."
