My name is Lima. I usually hide behind the A Good Book Drive covers writing these here stories for your reading pleasure. A couple of years ago, I shared with Cory and Lizzy, the founders of this incredible project, the story of how books saved my young little life. The library was my home for so many rainy days, the characters between the covers my best friends. For last year’s drive, I donated my favourite series of stories, in fact, there were 1,001 of them. These thousand or so fateful stories happened to save an Arabian Princesses’s life. Hear the story behind the story here.

What was your favourite, life-changing children’s book?

P.s. The third year of A Good Book Drive kicks off this Saturday! Stay tuned for updates, stories, and an entire month of giving great books to great kids.

A Good Book Drive is an annual book drive to bring stories to a new generation of readers, and support kids in need of new books. Running through the month of November, A Good Book Drive will be inspiring Vancouverites to purchase a new copy of their favorite kids’ book and deliver it to set locations throughout the city. At these drop off locations you can personalize your donation with a special bookplate, sharing the story of why that book is special to you. All books will be donated to this year’s book drive recipient, One to One: A Children's Literacy Program. Share your favourite stories with A Good Book Drive on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
