A song about The Captain! Aye Aye and Good Bye (WITH AUDIO)

Remember the Vancouver punk band, The McRackins , from the 1990's? How about The Captain? We've wrote about the latter legend a number of times ( 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ) and I was floored this week when I learned that the former had written a song about him.

While the McRackins may not have had that much play locally since the 90's they've been going strong in Europe, releasing a staggering 15 records over the last 20 years. One of those, entitled Eggzit (which you can buy HERE), contains a track called The Captain and features our pawn shop darling himself!

Have a listen and sing along below as Spot McRakin has provided us with the lyrics for you!

The Captain

Sitting in my own soup kitchen, Not a nickel to my name

Down to my last pack of Ramen I can't live this way again

Hey wait a minute, I guess I can sell my gear

To the guy on TV in The Captain's hat, who looks like he's had one too many beers

And says, Aye Aye and Good Bye, please step right up young man

And says, Aye Aye and Good Bye, fair value for your amp

And says, Aye Aye and Good Bye, It's on 10th and Alma Street,

And says, Aye Aye and Good Bye, is how the Captain greets

He drove an AMC wagon with a sail upon it's roof

spreading the word to the bargain hunter who is always on the move

And says, Aye Aye and Good Bye, please step right up young man

And says, Aye Aye and Good Bye, fair value for your amp

And says, Aye Aye and Good Bye, It's on 10th and Alma Street,

And says, Aye Aye and Good Bye, is how the Captain greets
