VHF Old School Conservation Course: Exteriors 2009 at the Mission to Seafarers

Through our award-winning Old School Courses for Building Conservation, VHF offers practical workshops and courses that teach home and building owners how to maintain heritage and character buildings. With already popular courses such as Heritage 101 and Researching the History of a Building, we are now offering a new course called Heritage Projects: From Idea to Completion. This course covers the entire process of taking on a heritage project, big or small, from research, planning and hiring the right people, to following through with the vision and plan on site. Learn from an architect and a contractor what you need to prepare and plan for a heritage project including things to consider when purchasing,  the research and planning process and how to work with the City and working with trades and unexpected surprises on site. This course will be of interest to both home and building owners and professionals in the building industry, including contractors, architects, trades, planners etc. This course has been in the making for a while and has drawn on the expert experiences of a team of well-seasoned heritage professionals.
