Vancouver on the Cheap: Wild About Vancouver

If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap".

If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap". In other words, this is a weekly series on things to do and places to go in Vancouver that fall into that magical category of being both cheap and awesome.

On NOW is the Wild About Vancouver Outdoor Education Festival! This is a free festival that celebrates outdoor learning with the goal of getting Vancouverites connected with local nature. If you ask me, despite our reputation for being granola-crunching mountain climbers, most Vancouverites spend very little time experiencing nature, so this is much needed! There are so many events that you actually could never get them all in, so make your choices carefully: Vancouver Aquarium Beach Walks, Medicine Walks, a Cherry Blossom Bollywood and Kite Dance, Kayak and Sailing Programs, Composting, Drum Circles, Intro to Taioist Tai Chi, Environmental Art, and more! And it's all FREE!
