Food Cart Fest is returning for its 4th year! Running for 11 consecutive Sundays starting June 28th and going til September 6th, this has become the summer food event in Vancouver. More than just food, we are so excited about this announcement. Below are 4 NEW reasons to check it out this year.

1: They FINALLY have a licensed area!

One of the biggest complaints the organizers have had about Food Cart Fest has always been that people want to be able to drink a beer or a cocktail as they savour their delicious street food. After two years in development, they'll finally have an outdoor summer patio area that will be licensed. The Sunday Local is going to feature live-music and the best craft beer, and cocktails the province has to offer. They're also also working with sommelier Kurtis Kolt on a BC wine experience. This new area promises to make the festival feel more vibrant and add a lot of excitement to the look and feel of the space.

2: Huge outdoor ping pong area

They festival is partnering with Ping Pong Club’s Michael Unger to create a massive outdoor ping pong area that will feature casual play and tournaments for all skill levels. Everyday festival attendees will be able to compete to win their lunch by playing ping pong! At the end of the festival, they're going to invite all the winners back, and they'll be able to compete to win a ping pong table by Tiger Ping Pong.

3: Better kid's area

They'll still have a giant bouncy castle on site, but are also partnering with Brick4Kidz who do a really cool outdoor play concept using gigantic Lego pieces. We're also going to be producing a kid's disco party on the grounds.

4: They're doing Five GIANT open air markets

Produced in collaboration with the Eastside Flea and Blim throughout the Summer, they're producing giant Rose Bowl style outdoor Markets.
