Idea for new silly cap technology protects Vancouverites from dive-bombing crows

As nesting season ramps up, we’ve seen a flurry of ACTIVITY online about DIVE-BOMBING CROWS in DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER . beware of crows! one just flew down and grabbed my head with it's claws on seymour street.

As nesting season ramps up, we’ve seen a flurry of ACTIVITY online about DIVE-BOMBING CROWS in DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER.

Scarecrow has developed an awesome hat as a humane way to discourage crow attacks using mylar technology and reflective surface with your own movement, which makes it difficult for them to see where they are going. Not only are these hats totally rad, but they act as natural deterrents, saving the heads of urban Vancouverites.

And we can all agree it makes Vancouver cool and shiny, too, amirite?

This beats having to put up makeshift signs, USING UMBRELLAS ON SUNNY DAYS, or just plain throwing fists to fight back.

Of course we don’t want to hurt the birds, those mamas are just protecting their babies. But the Wildlife Rescue Association of BC (WRA) receives up to 200 CALLS A DAY around this time of year re: the bird attacks; it’s a real problem.

All proceeds of the Scarecrow hats would be donated to the WRA. #humanswincrowswin!
