Vancouver on the Cheap: Drunk Heritage, A Canada Day Party

If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap".

If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap". In other words, this is a weekly series on things to do and places to go in Vancouver that fall into that magical category of being both cheap and awesome.

Remember those "Part of Our Heritage" commercials that used to run all the time in the 90's? Where we learned that Canadians invented basketball, about how women got the right to vote, and why Canada is named after a village? Well the cool kids at Itsazoo, Sum Theatre, and Hardline Productions have teamed up to bring you a Canada Day party that celebrates those Heritage Minutes, combined with the internet phenomenon Drunk History, at tonight's Drunk Heritage party. In between the Canadian beer, FREE all-Canadian snack bar, and Canadian tuxedos (jeans on jeans, people), actors will perform renditions of the Heritage Minutes, and they won't be waiting until after they get off the stage to crack open a cold one. Think a party thrown by and for Strange Brew's Bob and Doug McKenzie. With cover at only $5 (cash only), this is a steal of a deal for Canada Day.

This is what the organizers sent when asked for a photo - they are serious about the beer, folks.
