Miley Cyrus wears a sweet hat in BC's Great Bear Rainforest

I've got to admit I was very surprised this morning when I read a release sent to me by the BC NGO Pacific Wild saying that this weekend they accompanied pop singer Miley Cyrus to the Great Bear Rainforest on a research trip.
miley-cyrus-wolf-hunt I've got to admit I was very surprised this morning when I read a release sent to me by the BC NGO Pacific Wild saying that this weekend they accompanied pop singer Miley Cyrus to the Great Bear Rainforest on a research trip. I was familiar with the group's push to end BC's somewhat controversial wolf cull and their encouraging of a permanent, protected habitat for BC caribou but Miley Cyrus? What the heck was she doing way up there with scientists and wildlife conservationists? A little digging revealed that the star recently launched The Happy Hippy Foundation, her first non-profit group with a mission to "Rally young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBT youth and other vulnerable populations.". In this case that population is the wolf population (along with grizzly bears), so it all made sense. Below is a video where they talk to her about it, and there's info at pacificwild.org/miley
