Over the past 7 years our friends at The Peak 102.7fm have been holding an annual competition for BC bands. More than a contest, The Peak Performance Project was an opportunity for musicians to be mentored by the industry's best, getting guidance and a leg up in their careers by being taken to a boot camp (actually called Peak Performance Boot Camp!), challenged to create original tracks and then ultimately doing live showcases with the other bands. Each year 3 were awarded large cash prizes at the end, to put towards career development. The station pledged $5 million to helping grow local talent, making one of the most positive impacts on recording artists in recent history in BC.
This year marked the final instalment of the PPP, and it wrapped up last night with a live performance at the legendary Commodore Ballroom by the top 3 groups. The winners were...

2nd place -$75,000
3rd place- $50,000
