The afternoon talk radio market in Vancouver is about to get a little bit hotter. Roundhouse Radio just announced that Janice & Cory is launching this Monday February 1st, filling their 3-6pm slot.

If you haven't yet tuned in to Roundhouse at 98.3fm I imagine that the addition of this show should solve that. Well known radio personalities Janice Ungaro and Cory Ashworth will be bringing a bit more flair than what's currently on the airwaves on talk radio locally, and I personally can't wait to listen in. "We’re absolutely stoked to be on Roundhouse Radio. Cory and I are so geared to delve into a wild range of conversations with a sense of complete exploration, honesty, humour, and hopefully some intelligence”, says Ungaro. "Yeah, the latter of course coming from our guests!", adds Ashworth.

 Janice & CoryJanice & Cory

Full disclosure: Cory is a close friend of mine and I'm the chair of the board of his non-profit. I'll be appearing on Janice & Cory from time to time as a panelist. Here are the host bios...

Cory Ashworth

Cory Ashworth spent his formative twenties in Beijing, where he launched China’s first national radio rock show and became the first foreign VJ on MTV China. Previously an announcer on The PEAK, Cory is co-host of Rain City Chronicles, co-creator of A Good Book Drive for children in Vancouver and founder of AYAM Civic Society, presently launching The March Sweater Project.

Janice Ungaro

The popular former morning show co-host at Z95.3 spent the past 14 years in Los Angeles focusing on the production side of radio. Janice was a regular on The Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 crew, produced The Phil Hendrie Show and The Bill Handel Show on talk radio giant KFI AM640, and The Jillian Michaels Show, which won the iTunes Best New Podcast 2011 Award.

Tune in to 98.3fm Monday from 3-6pm!
