Get Hungry- YVR Food Fest is this weekend

Vancouver has become Canada's top city for food truck culture.

yvr fest 1 Vancouver has become Canada's top city for food truck culture. With the city's sky high rents, Vancouver's food entrepreneurs have taken to the streets offering gourmet fast food ranging from tacos, grilled cheese, poutine, dim sum, ribs, perogies, Vietnamese sandwiches, pizza, eggwiches, Indian fusion and many other culinary variations. After establishing a loyal following, the city's top food trucks have also opened traditional brick and mortar locations including hotspots Tacofino, Torafuku and Yolks. Joining the revolution, Vancouver's established restaurants have opened their own food trucks including Vij's Railway Express and authentic Neapolitan pizzeria, Via Tevere.

yvr fest 2 On Saturday August 5th and Sunday August 6th, the city's best food trucks come together  for YVR Food Fest held outside at Olympic Village and the Science World patio.  The festival offers the opportunity to try the tasting menus (or full meals) from over 50 of Vancouver's best food trucks along with craft breweries, wineries and locally inspired cocktails. Enjoy live music and the fabulous Eastside Flea Market with local vendors selling handmade goods, vintage clothing, antiques, plants & more.
