Van City Kitty: Take Kira Home!

Would you like a new life-long friend this winter? You are in luck - every week for the rest of December I'll introduce you to a kitty (or two) who is looking for a home! Here is Kira, a sleek beauty from VOKRA!

This beauty will greet you at the door every time you come home.

Kira was rescued as a homeless mother, and now with her nest empty (her kittens were all adopted to lovely homes) she is ready to be someone's forever friend. She's a quiet but playful kitty who craves a chill home with a window to monitor squirrels from and a lap to warm through the winter and for the rest of her life.

Instead of having a shelter, VOKRA provides over 300 individual foster homes which helps to protect the very young from colds, distemper, parasites and other transmissible illnesses. In a home environment, cats are safe and well socialized, with lots of love and attention.

		Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA) is a no-kill, non-profit, registered charity dedicated to the rescue of cats in the Lower Mainland that is run entirely by volunteers with no paid staff.

VOKRA also has an extensive TNR program, which means they trap, spay/neuter, and work with community cats to control the homeless cat population.
