Local sports aficionado? History buff? Either way, this event is for you.

As an extension of the Museum’s Vancouver in the Seventies photography exhibition, the MOV will host a panel of some of Vancouver’s most beloved athletes from the 1970s, an incredibly important time for the city’s professional and amateur sports teams.

Vancouver Sun Columnist, Iain Macintyre will host the event, while the panel will consist of former Vancouver Canuck defenceman Dennis Kearns, former Whitecaps FC player and current club president Bob Lenarduzzi, and former BC Lions placekicker/punter Lui Passaglia.

Along with a discussion of the “glory days”, the event will explore how the business of professional and amateur sports has developed over the past few decades and shaped the local sporting culture we know and love today. Here’s your chance to relive the glory days with the athletes that made them so great.
