Tech’s Got Talent returns to Vancouver June 1st at the Imperial Theatre! This year, twenty tech teams from companies including ACL, Plenty of Fish, Hootsuite, Mobify, Allocadia will ban together for a night of impassioned (and probably hilarious) performance, all in support of charities from around the city.
Each company has to raise funds for a local charity of their choice and this year, they’re hoping to blow previous fundraising efforts out of the water! The event, which launched in 2015, has already raised more than $50,000!
Either way, some amazing charities are going to get some cash and some tech moguls are going to embarrass themselves in the process, so it’s really a win-win. Expect costumes, “interpretive” dance moves and epic lip-synching like you’ve never seen. Celebrity judges Kaitlyn Bristowe, former Bachelorette, Jay DeMerit of Whitecaps fame, and renowned drag queen Kendall Gender have come on board to evaluate the teams and select the evening’s winner.
Last year’s event brought out over 500 spectators and this year is expected to sell-out, so act quickly!
