Looking to do something a little out of the ordinary this weekend? Animating History is a fun and creative event where families can learn the basics of animation, while also sharing their family's unique story. No previous experience with animation or film editing is required, all you have to bring is an understanding of your family's immigration history or their movement within Canada.

Accomplished filmmakers and artists will guide families through storyboarding, drawing, paper cut-outs, soundtrack creation and computer editing so each family can produce a short film to be viewed at the end of the afternoon session. Films will be posted online to allow sharing and viewing once you’re home. For more information, visit the Museum of Vancouver online.
