The Holy Crab, an Indonesian chain serving up Louisiana-inspired seafood opened its first Canadian location on Vancouver's Robson Street in February of this year. Famed for it's seafood boils where customers dig in with their hands, The Holy Crab has already gained a loyal following with line-ups out the door. Lobster, Dungeness crab, and King Crab Legs are sold at seasonal price.  Now licensed, the Holy Crab also serves up sinful lobster rolls ($20) served with house-made dipping sauces including melted butter, cajun and garlic.

Another new addition to the Vancouver food scene, Crab Park Chowdery opened in the beginning of 2017 in Gastown. Their New England Clam Chowder served in a bread bowl or a tin cup is a must on a cold winter's day. For summer, try their version of a Lobster Salad Sandwich ($20) which also includes crab and shrimp on a heavenly toasted Brioche Bun served with salt and vinegar chips. While the Crab Park Chowdery awaits their liquor license, pair with a local craft soda or Dicky's Ginger Beer.
