The end of September is here, bringing with it the New Forms Festival 2017 , with tons of artists to keep you entertained, workshops to keep you engaged and panels to keep you informed. Make sure you don't miss this amazing festival.
And just to make your end of the month that little bit more special, here are the 13 events that you must not miss this week.
DAMIAN “JR GONG” MARLEY
Tuesday 26th at the Commodore
Son of Reggae legend Bob Marley, Damian Marley has taken reggae music a step further with amazing classics like “Welcome to jam rock” and “Beautiful” Be sure to catch his show at the Commodore, hope you already bought your tickets early, the show’s sold out.
GOLDLINK
Wednesday 27th at the Commodore.
A little mid-week hip hop funk, Goldlink has the right music to let you relax and let loose, currently on tour around North America, be sure to catch his concert, you will not regret it.
BROCKHAMPTON
Wed 27th at the Biltmore – All ages
On the other end of the Hip-Hop attitude scale, you have the Hip-Hop collective Brockhampton, currently on tour promoting their Debut release “SATURATION”. Giving you old-school style rhymes just the way you like them. Audiences must agree as tickets are sold out, sorry late comers.
LIL YACHTY
Thursday 28th at Vogue
Lil Yachty a new Hip-hop sensation has exploded over the last two years. With his unique blend of attitude and unique weirdness, he brings a breath of fresh air to the Hip-Hop scene, He will make your Thursday memorable.
ALLAH-LAS
Thursday 28th at Fortune
Indie rock group Allah-Las has the best cure after a long week, providing you a great night out. Just let go of all your stress, and enjoy some great tunes.
ELLIOTT BROOD
Thursday 28th at the Commodore
Folk music fans rejoice, we haven’t forgotten about you. Elliott Brood will have you dancing all night long, with their particular brand of roots music, a great way to enjoy your Thursday night.
ROXY LAUNCH PROJECT FINALE
Thursday 28th at the Roxy Cabaret
Thursday will finally see who wins The Roxy Launch Project, with four finalists, Cassandra Maze, Frase, High love and Nikita. It will be an exciting to see which local band takes home the prize.
NEW FORMS FESTIVAL
Thursday 28th to Saturday 30th at multiple Venues.
New Forms Festival is back and full to the brim with exciting content to check out, going on till Saturday, there will be plenty of things to see. From live performances, panels and workshops to artistic displays by a large number of artist’s both local and international. Be sure to pick up your event passes fast as all the full festival passes have been sold out.
THE NEW PORNOGRAPHERS
Friday 29th at the Commodore
Just the perfect cure to end your work week. This indie band will make sure your thirst for good music is quenched with their groovy style of rock.
TANK AND THE BANGAS
Friday 29th at The Fox
Something different for your Friday? Tank and the Bangas have what you need, with their fusion of spoken verse and slow rhythm blues, you will sway your way to bliss.
MAYDAY
Saturday 30th at Fortune
Banging out some sick old school, Rap and Hip hop music, this crew knows how to bring the right amount of attitude and class, combining them with lyrics that have meaning, your Saturday will be deeper than you expect.
FRANKIE ROSE
Saturday 30th at Biltmore Cabaret
If you are looking for something groovier, something that will make you move and twirl why not see Frankie Rose, their version of alt rock will have you grooving till the morning.
FEIST
Sunday 1st at the Vogue
The end of the weekend brings you Feist, some good old Rock n Roll, making sure your pumped up for the coming week and indeed the coming month.
