World's tallest Christmas trees will sparkle as part of extended Canyon Lights fest

The Capilano Suspension Bridge's stunning Canyon Lights winter festival will light up the night for an extended run this winter.

One of the lower mainland's most breathtaking sights any time of the year, the Capilano Suspension Bridge's stunning Canyon Lights winter festival will light up the night for an extended run this winter.

Running from November 23, 2017 to January 28, 2018, hundreds of thousands of lights will shimmer brightly as the suspension bridge, Treetops Adventure, Cliffwalk, the rainforest and canyon become a sparkling winter wonderland.

With lights on the eight 250-year-old, 30-ton Douglas-firs that comprise the bridge-connected and platform-outfitted Treetops Adventure reaching 110 feet above the forest floor, these majestic trees will become the world's tallest Christmas trees, too.

As part of the festival there will be events like the Snowy Owl Prowl, gingerbread cookie decorating, a holiday band, sing-along caroling, and kids crafts. Just take note that some of the activities are by donation, so have a little cash in your parka pocket.
