Vancouver to light its 76 ft tall Christmas tree on December 1st!

A giant tree, a great cause and plenty of Holiday cheer. Back for its 11th year, the Vancouver Christmas Tree Lighting takes place December 1st at the Vancouver Art Gallery (750 Hornby Street).

A giant tree, a great cause and plenty of Holiday cheer.

Back for its 11th year, the Vancouver Christmas Tree Lighting takes place December 1st at the Vancouver Art Gallery (750 Hornby Street).

Watch as four magnificent holiday trees come to life with bright, holiday cheer, including the city's beloved 76 ft coniferous giant. In addition to the tree lighting, there will be live entertainment and music, free cookies and hot chocolate, local food trucks and fun activities for kids and parents alike. Grab a photo with Santa, or stop by the Canada Post station to send off your Holiday list to the Big Man himself!

While the event if all about fun and cheer, the Vancouver Tree Lighting is ultimately about helping kids in need, specifically by supporting the Vancouver International Children’s Festival Society. Charitable donations taken at the event will help fund the amazing outreach programs the Vancouver International Children’s Festival provides such as the Good Neighbour ProgramAdopt a Class and the Hospital Outreach Program.

If you want to help these programs shine, you can buy your own bulb for the Vancouver Christmas tree. You can purchase 5 bulbs for $5 or 15 bulbs for $10 HERE.
