Taking place on Saturday, November 25 from noon to 7 pm, this free event hosted by the Yaletown Business Improvement Association turns one of Vancouver's chicest neighbourhoods into a space Christmassy enough to rival the North Pole.

CandyTown will feature carriage rides by donation, a live ice sculpture, Yuletide music, tons of decorations, plenty of treats, and the big man in the red suit himself.

Kids will be especially enchanted by Santa Claus (and he'll be there for photos and wish list-telling), and a visit from the Ice Queen, along with live candy-making demos, a "Candy Hut," crafts, face painting, and roaming entertainers.

Grown ups take note: There will be a special DIY "cocktail tour" of Yaletown, where you can sip special creations at local restaurants and bars. There will be plenty of shopping opportunities at the onsite artisan market--as well as from Yaletown's many businesses.
