Loblaws announced Wednesday that they are debuting online orders with home delivery through a new partnership with Instacart, The service will kick off in Toronto on December 6, and then start in the Greater Vancouver area in January 2018.

"For customers who want groceries delivered right to their door, Instacart is a new and complementary convenience," explains  Galen G. Weston, Chairman and CEO, Loblaw Companies Limited in a news release.

Instacart is an online service and app active in over 150 markets in the U.S., though this will be the company's first foray into the international market.

Customers will place orders online or via the app and select delivery anywhere from as soon as an hour to as far out as a week away. Right now, the Canadian site is actively accepting email sign ups for notification when the service goes live in your postal code.
