Fancy department store dining is about to a little fancier in Vancouver. Or, at least a lot more French. Something new is coming to Holt Renfrew.

Fancy department store dining is about to get a little fancier in Vancouver. Or, at least a lot more French.

Holt Renfrew announced Thursday that they are launching a national culinary partnership with Chase Hospitality Group to swap out their in-house Holt's Café concept in five locations with Colette Grand Café, including in Vancouver.

Colette Grand Café currently operates a solo standalone downtown Toronto restaurant. The eatery is known for its chic space and French-inspired fare like salads, sandwiches and tartines, omelettes, and assorted Bistro-style dishes (think steak frites and the like).

In 2018, Holt Renfrew will morph their current onsite cafés in Edmonton, Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto’s Yorkdale and Bloor Street locations into Colette Grand Café outposts.

Vancouver's Holt Renfrew is also home to a French concept--Canada's second Ladurée boutique, home to direct-from-Paris macarons and other sweet goodies, along with tea and light bites.

“Colette Grand Café embodies the French-style and is the perfect fit for Holt Renfrew to offer clientele the full luxury experience,” said Mario Grauso, President, Holt Renfrew in a media release.

Ooh la la!
