Did you know? The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen classical garden was inspired by the Astor Chinese Garden Court at the MET Museum in New York.

Astor Court opened in 1980 and members of the Sun Yat-Sen Society visited the permanent exhibition at the time in order to learn more about these gardens and get information on how to build a full-scale garden in Vancouver.
