We're suckers for maps of Vancouver, whether they are historic road maps from deep within the city's archives, or contemporary artistic takes on our geography.
Last week, local designer and illustrator Veronika Lunakova used her Instagram account, @veronikalunakova to tease out her Vancouver map illustration, one section at a time. It definitely caught my eye!
Lunakova has done the map as a vertical, tipping the overall city's peninsula on its side and filling the surrounding waters with some familiar Vancouver iconography, from the Aquabus to a paddle boarder. It's very charming, and would look terrific framed.
