This Instagram account shows people sleeping on Vancouver transit

Seat naps happen. Did you know there's an Instagram account dedicated to sharing photos of people caught sleeping on Vancouver public transit?

Late night post-work SkyTrain rides. Catching early morning flights out of YVR via the Canada Line. After drinks bus rides. The morning after an all-nigh study session. Just plain being sleepy while using public transit in Vancouver can lead to seat napping. It happens.

But did you know there's an Instagram account dedicated to sharing photos of people caught slumbering on Vancouver public transit? Up and running since January 2014 (but dormant since mid-2016*, pun intended), that's still a lot of anonymous chronicling of our public dozing off on the SeaBus, SkyTrain, and countless buses.

From full-on stretched out across street sessions to plenty of mouths agape, and a few curious choices of positioning and states of undress in between, @dreaminontransit is both amusing and mortifying. Head over and take a full gander yourself...and see if you can spot yourself, too.

Oh, and don't forget to indulge in a look at this series of IG pics of people #runningfortheseabus.

*Update July 2018: Since we published this in March, the account "woke up" and shared a few more shots of some slumbering Vancouver transit users.
