A cynic might say that on any given weekend night, there are plenty of people doing a DIY drinking crawl through Yaletown--after all, the downtown neighbourhood is known for its nightlife scene. But there is a way for cocktail aficionados to embark upon a curated one-night tour with stops at some prominent Yaletown venues with plenty to eat, drink, and experience.
The Yaletown Cocktail Crawl takes place on March 15, and participants will follow their maps to check out a cocktail and an appetizer at three restaurants. There will be multiple groups following different paths, and the participating venues include Xoxolat, Per Se Social Corner, Brix & Mortar, and House Special.
Run by Vancouver Gourmet Tours, the "crawl" takes place over 2.5 hours, and costs $35 plus gratuities, if purchased by March 12. From March 12 to the day-of, the price goes up to $48. As added incentive, should any ticketholder wish to extend their evening and enjoy more food and drink at any of the stops, each restaurant will have some discounts available. A VIP package for $135 includes a three-course sit-down dinner.
All participants can cast ballots to name the best cocktail of the event; one lucky voter will win tickets to a follow-up cocktail crawl event planned for Gastown. Additionally, all attendees in the Yaletown Cocktail Crawl will get a year-long membership to Vancouver Gourmet Club, and will have access to specials and discounts on the next 12 months of programming, including the Gastown Cocktail Crawl.
