This new public art installation in Yaletown is a colourful way to celebrate summer (PHOTOS)

A colourful new public art installation above the plaza at the Yaletown-Roundhouse Canada Line station has everyone appreciating the sunshine...even though what's been installed is all about the rain.

A colourful new public art installation above the plaza at the Yaletown-Roundhouse Canada Line station has everyone appreciating the sunshine...even though what's been installed is all about the rain.

Brightly-hued umbrellas are hanging above the public space, and when they catch a bit of that wonderful sunshine, it's even more magical.

According to the Yaletown BIA, it's called "Underbrella," and they're urging anyone snapping a photo for Instagram of the vibrant new addition to Bill Curtis Square to be sure to include the #underbrella hashtag.

Go check it out...and enjoy the fact that we hopefully won't need our actual umbrellas too much for the next few months.
