Bloedel Conservatory. Such and awesome place to take photos of. A wonder of late 1960′s architecture. Oh, and the flora and fauna inside is pretty darn cool to photograph too. When you have a chance, you should grab your gear and make a photo op out of your visit.

Ok, in scouring today’s Daily Flickr Pickr selections, I cam across this unbelievable image from Alexis Birkill of the new pier at Canada Place. Now, I’ve seen my share of photos of Canada Place, but this one is amazing. The colors are perfect, especially the purple.

Anyone ever head on down to any of the vast variety of waterfront industrial areas of the lower mainland for a photowalk? I have. And they are one of the best shooting locations we have access to. Tons of really cool industrial equipment, barges, cranes, etc. Grab your gear and go!

Ok, so today’s Daily Flickr Pickr photo is close to my heart because the China Creek skate bowls were my main haunt when I was heavily into skating in the 80′s and 90′s. Loved skating there and love the fact that it’s still around, giving new (and old) skaters the opportunity to skate bowls, old school style. :)

Did any of you get a chance to go to the Paul McCartney concert at BC Place last night? I heard it was truly awesome. What was also truly awesome was the lighting up of BC Place for the show. Did you all catch the Union Jack light show they has set up? Very cool.

Rain. I know, I know…it kinda sucks when it hits the 4th or 5th day in a row, doesn’t it?
But hey, there was a break today. Albeit, at about 9pm. ;) You know one of the cool things all this rain produces, besides the lush green we’re surrounded with all year round? Wet leaves on the ground. And, over time (and trampling) those wet leaves leave leaf shaped tattoos on the sidewalk. Very awesome.
