NAME: Hannah B Pug. BREED: Pug. HOOD: Yaletown. FAVORITE SNACK: Chicken. OTHER INFO: Hannah is well known in her neighborhood for her very long tongue, she is 4.5 years old. She is very spoiled but loves all her stuffed monkeys most. Thanks to Hannah i wake up every morning with 4-8 monkeys in bed. |
One year ago (almost to the day) I brought you LIVE DOGS, a collection of photos of people’s canines that they brought to last year’s Live Block Party.
This year I once again went to Vancouver’s most awesome street party equipped with a camera and my I LOVE DOGS t-shirt. Check out all of the photos and call out your dog (or your friends’ dogs) in the comments if you see them. It’s Live Dogs 2!

Today’s dog featured in Dogtown Vancouver is Oakland & Bronx, Mark K’s pups. Here’s what he had to say about them…

NAME: Oakland & Bronx. BREED: English Mastiff / Rescue Special. HOOD: West End. FAVORITE SNACK: Buffalo Shoulders / Anything. OTHER INFO: Oakland is the baby, Bronx is the boss. Oakland doesn’t pay much attention to people or other dogs, for the most part, he focuses on strategic marking and smelling. Bronx spends her time plotting on how to finally capture one of the squirrels in the yard and pondering how it is that a dog three times her size once caught one and let it go! |

Today’s dog featured in Dogtown Vancouver is Lou, Christopher B’s pup. Here’s what he had to say about him…

NAME: Lou. BREED: Lab / Pitbull Cross. HOOD: Mt Pleasant (Guelph Park). FAVORITE SNACK: Marrow Bones from the Windsor Packing Co on Main and 25th. OTHER INFO: Lou is a rescue dog from the Hug-A-Bull Advocacy and Rescue Society (http://www.hugabull.com/). He was neglected by his first owner on Vancouver Island who made him a yard dog for the first 6 months of his life, having to deal without shelter during the harsh winter that just passed as a tiny puppy. Since then he made his way to a shelter on the Island where the Hug-A-Bull group rescued him from being put down. After three months of training by his foster family in Squamish he has turned into the perfect example of how loyal, loving, and safe the breed can be. He is enjoying his new home in East Vancouver and is adapting to all the sites, sounds, and smells the city can offer. |
Remember last year’s Live Block Party when I took all of those photos of my dawgs that showed up? I think I’ll probably do the same thing this year, so make sure to bring your dawgs!
