NAME: Lumi. BREED: American Eskimo (toy size). HOOD: Oakridge. FAVOURITE SNACK: Pigs Ears (gross!) OTHER INFO: Lumi is still a puppy but her birthday is rapidly approaching, she will be 1 on Halloween. She is completely unaware of how small and fluffy she is and loves running around, wrestling with other dogs and chewing anything insight.

Today’s dog featured in Dogtown Vancouver is Buster, Trish W’s pup. Here’s what she had to say about him…

NAME: Buster. BREED: Portuguese Water Dawg. HOOD: Furry Creek but comes to work every day in Gastown with me. FAVOURITE SNACK: His Favourite snack is Poo but he also likes carrots, cookies of any description. He’s a skilled counter surfer and usually is pleased with whatever he finds there, like apple pie, turkey, dough – you name it, he’s eaten it. Oh right! His guilty pleasure food seems to be new bars of Ivory soap. OTHER INFO: He’s our own little “worst in show” – I’m developing a dog show around him. He’s the product of two champions but managed to come out with a coat that’s a mixture of curly/wavy, black/brown/grey and teeth that look like they need braces – made worse when he leapt from the car to chase a golf cart (we weren’t going fast, fortunately, and he now wears a seat belt at all times). He lost what would have grown into the signature beautiful long PWD tail in a Gastown parkade door (I relive the horror of that accident every day even though it happened over 4 years ago). He’s an “unholy mess” of a dog and I love every thing about him.

NAME: Mr. Fox. BREED: Pomeranian mix (maybe with papillon?) HOOD: Mt Pleasant. FAVOURITE SNACK: Australian sharp cheddar. OTHER INFO: Mr. Fox is a 3.5 year old pom mix who loves to cuddle with his family. He’s happiest when he has all his favourite people together in one place. NAME: Holly. BREED: English Cocker Spaniel. HOOD: North Vancouver. FAVOURITE SNACK: Freeze dried beef liver. OTHER INFO: Holly is almost 2 and spends her days romping around the office as the official mascot, a job at which she excels. Although Holly might not be the smartest dog, but she makes up for it with cuteness! She loves the water and sneaks into the fountain outside the N. Van city library whenever she has a chance. NAME: Milka. BREED: Poodle/Yorkie cross. HOOD: South Granville. FAVOURITE SNACK: Cucumbers and broccoli. OTHER INFO: He’s a rescue from Taiwan. Milka has a blog so that his Taiwanese rescuers can see how he’s doing. He has diabetes and takes his twice daily insulin shots like a champ!
