Here are the deets on Hobbes, submitted by VIA reader Jeannine A!
| Name: Hobbes
Breed/Colouring: Fancy schmancy tuxedo kitty
Hood: Downtown Vancouver
Habits: Hobbes loves to look out the window and watch birds, pedestrians, and the Skytrain go by. He LOVES water; he is constantly found splashing around in his water bowl, licking the faucet in the kitchen, or stalking his people like crazy whenever they’re watering the plants for a drink directly from the watering can.
Hangouts: A blue flower bed from IKEA or on the window ledge keeping an eye out.
Favorite Things: Bananas, nectarines (they have to be the right ripeness), yogurt, and the occasional Belgian waffle. Jeannine can eat sashimi in peace without a second glance from Hobbes, but open a container of yogurt and he’s on her shoulder trying to get a sniff! He also loves the smell of margaritas and beer (especially Belgian beer)… but he’s not allowed to have any.
Other Info: “Hobbes is a rescue cat and is turning 8 in November. He is a friendly little guy who is very curious about other cats and dogs, but his playfulness gets him into trouble sometimes. He is named after Hobbes (from Calvin & Hobbes) and he definitely lived up to his name. When he was younger, he was constantly pouncing on toys, bugs, and my leg every time I walked by… especially at night time when it was dark… prime pouncing time! It’s never a dull moment when he’s around and I couldn’t have asked for a better kitty companion.”
Considering the attainment of the next Belgian waffle:
