You might have heard about the JCS earlier this year when the group took over The Burrard hotel with a party that combined local artists and skateboards, in one spectacular venue, for a fundraiser and ramp-up to JAMCOUVER 2013. It’s since been called “Party of The Year.”
The main event, a fun and friendly contest called “JAMCOUVER” and boasts the tagline, “Skateboarding at its most creative,” is an annual flagship event that began in 2011 when Sandro Grison (Publisher, Color Magazine) had the idea to bring creativity back to skateboarding with a world-class contest not seen since the days of Slam City Jam. JAMCOUVER 2011 was held at The Waldorf Hotel and was a refreshing return to the true and creative heart of skateboarding.
