Check out the magic and sparkle of the holiday season at Metro Vancouver's largest free outdoor lights display, which takes place in Coquitlam from late November through January.
Lights at Lafarge will once again shine bright, thanks to tens of thousands of lights installed in various configurations, including as a beautifully lit 1.2 km walkway around Lafarge Lake.
There will be multiple themed zones set up, and lots to see and enjoy for the whole family. And, yes, it's absolutely free. Vancouverites who want to explore this colourful event can hop on the Evergreen Line, since the Lafarge Lake-Douglas Station stop puts you right at the venue.
Lights at Lafarge will kick off on November 25 with a "Light Up" event, which runs from 2:30 to 5:30 pm, and will feature live entertainment, hot chocolate, and all sorts of family-friendly activities.
The lights are on until January 21, 2018, so you have a few weeks to make it there to check it all out before it goes dark for another year.
