Whistler Blackcomb tweeted an image of Whistler Peak this morning and it already has a great deal of snowfall.
The image features a person strolling up to the large, stone Inukshuk in what appears to be a flurry of snow. The tall statue overlooks all of the valley, Black Tusk peak, and the Whistler summit, and was created for 2010 Olympic Games.
"It's starting to look a lot like...we've skipped a season. If Whistler Peak is any indication, it's almost time to sharpen your edges and wax your bases," tweeted the alpine resort.
Last year, the resort saw an early ski season due to an early accumulation of snowfall. If these conditions are any indication of things to come, the season could come early again.
Right now, the season is set to open on November 22nd, but the resort will change it if conditions are favourable.
