The annual Big Elf Run returns to Vancouver for its fourth year of festive fun.
Hundreds of elves turn up to enjoy a holiday-themed fun run that features a 1km Wee Elf Run, 5km as well as a 10km Big Elf timed run/walk around scenic Stanley Park.
The course winds through the majestic Stanley Park trees before it comes onto the seawall, and passes over 13 city hallmark locations. Since there are very few inclines, as well as paved trails, the event is ideal for people of all fitness levels and ages. Further, they offer water and cheering stations along the way for you to rest at.
Once you finish, however, the fun really begins in the Winter Wonderland Park. Here, the post-run activities include DJs, dancing, prize giveaways, vendors and more.
The event will award the first female and male elves to cross the finish, as well as a "Best Elfit" for the most stylish elf in the pack. What's more, there will be an award for "Best Dog Elfit," which is awarded to the most stylish canine in costume.
Your registration package includes an elf name, elf tuque and chip timing. With that in mind, the chip timing isn't included for 1km runners.
The event is also a proud partner of Canuck Place Children's Hospice.
