Christmas arrives early thanks to the annual Italian Christmas Market, or Mercatino di Natale, held at Il Centro, Vancouver's Italian Cultural Centre.
The popular family-friendly event takes place on the evening of Nov. 23, and includes plenty to see and do, taste, and, of course, buy.
Over 40 vendors are slated to participate, offering Italian food products (think goods like olive oil, panettone, Christmas cookies, honey, and chocolate) as well as local liquors and wine. Of course, there is much more in store to shop for, like jewellery, pottery, crafts, and more.

There will be photo-ops with Santa for children between 5:30 and 7:30 pm, when Mr. and Mrs. Claus themselves will be on site--as will a balloon artist. A free crafting table for kids will be available to enjoy all evening.
Also on hand will be food to eat, including a Christmas meal prepared by Il Centro's catering department. Soak up the festive feels with live music courtesy local choirs singing holiday carols.
