Environment Canada issued heavy rain and wind warnings for Metro Vancouver earlier this week, and there was some flooding in low-lying areas.
Now, the department is calling for a decidedly different forecast. Rather than heavy rain, the Vancouver weather forecast calls for bright sunshine this weekend and into the following week.
Wednesday, Nov. 29 will see a few showers throughout the day and a high of ten degrees. The showers will continue through the night, but Thursday will see a break from the rainfall. Following this, however, Friday will have a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of seven degrees. Friday evening will be clear, but the weather will fall to a chilly three degrees.
Saturday is predicted to have a mix of sun and cloud throughout the day. With that in mind, the skies begin to clear overnight and therefore the temperature plummets to a chilly minus one.
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday are expected to have clear skies with bight sunshine and a high of six degrees.

The Weather Network has also released its B.C. winter forecast and it may come as a shock to some. In fact, it is looking decidedly mild overall. The Lower Mainland is expected to see fewer episodes of Arctic air as well as fewer threats of significant snow.
