Angelina's, the incredibly popular New West breakfast spot, is moving into bigger digs nearby its current location at the River Market.
The Dutch cafe known for their hearty a.m. plates piled with pannekoeken or waffles drizzled with stroop (syrup) and served with heaps of vibrant fresh fruit will be sliding into the space just vacated by longtime River Market eatery Wild Rice.
“We have been bursting at the seams in our current location, so finding a new, larger space so close by in the wonderful River Market is a great move for us,” says Eric Missouri, owner of Angelina’s Dutch Café, via e-mail.
“After 17 years, as our customer base has grown, we’ve become so busy at our current space and really needed a larger location. This space at River Market is perfect for us and we know our customers will love that it’s directly facing the river," adds Missouri.
Angelina's is aiming for an April 1 opening in their new space, and is looking to make the transition absolutely seamless by closing their old location the day before they launch at the River Market.
The already-expansive Angelina's menu will see some further additions in the news space, like fresh juice and soups. Later in the year they will add a dinner menu and service into the evening.
“We are very excited to bring Angelina’s into River Market and are confident that our customers will appreciate having another popular, locally owned and operated restaurant to add to their choices at the market,” says Salim Hassan, Property Manager at River Market at Westminster Quay. “Angelina’s will be a wonderful addition to all we offer as a culinary destination.”
River Market is located at 810 Quayside Drive in New Westminster
