There was at least one long face and plenty of wide, brimming smiles during an equestrian event in West Vancouver last week.
With residents of Hollyburn House all dolled up in their best cowboy hats and boots for a Country and Western Days event, Loni the Horse paid a visit to the seniors residence on Friday (July 30).
Gerry O’Neil, who runs the Stanley Park’s horse-drawn tours, brought in Loni, a 12-year-old Percheron draft horse, for the purpose of the event.
Standing smack-dab in the middle of Hollyburn House’s main living room, the large horse provided some welcome cheer to the residents after what’s been a long year.
